Registration of those children born between 1 March 2013 and 28 February 2014 takes place during the period Monday 6th – Friday 10th November 2017. An update is placed in local newspapers and parents are advised to consult the school regarding details. The school will also display enrolment information in the local library, nurseries, community centres and shops.

At Antonine, we have developed a structured induction programme for all children entering to Primary 1. After Primary 1 registration the Depute Head Teacher and Principal Teacher visit as many nurseries as possible to meet and get to know the children. Close liaison between pre-school establishments and Antonine ensures a successful transition for children to primary school. Throughout the year the children from Drumchapel Early Years Centre participate with their nursery staff in monthly activities in Antonine to begin to familiarize them with our staff and school environment.
On the afternoons of Wednesday 16th and 30th May 2018, we invite you and your child for two induction sessions when the children will meet the Primary 1 class teachers and spend time in the Primary 1 classrooms and Street Area. Parents will meet with the head teacher to hear more about the arrangements for starting school and how best to support your child get ready for their first year at primary.
An informal coffee morning is held in August to enable parents of Primary 1 children to get to know each other and to meet members of the Parent Council. Parents are invited to a Curriculum Information session in August to learn more about learning and teaching in Primary 1. Families are also invited to dine with their child in our lunch hall the week prior to school starting full time in early September.
Primary 1 teachers will be available throughout the year to discuss any matters concerning your child. Timetabled parent-teacher consultation meeting are held in October and March each session.
